Art Nouveau nyt - Eurooppalaisten kaupunkien kiertonäyttely Suomen kansallismuseossa 29.05.2005 saakka. Näyttely esittelee 13 kaupungin Art Nouveauta syntyaikanaan ja nyt. Esillä on myös menetyksiä, kuten kuvia helsinkiläisapteekkien tuhoutuneista sisustuksista, ja visioiksi jääneitä suunnitelmia Victor Hortan 1898 Pariisin maailmannäyttelyyn suunnitteleman rohkean Kongo-paviljongin tapaan. Alkuperäiskäytössään säilyneiden rakennusten lisäksi nähdään erilaisia ratkaisuja rakennusten uudelleenkäytöstä. Näyttely on Réseau Art Nouveau Network -verkoston kiertonäyttely, jossa Helsinki esiintyy kansainvälisessä yhteydessä. Muut kaupungit ovat Barcelona, Bryssel, Budapest, Glasgow, Ljubljana, Nancy, Reus, Riika, Terrassa, Varese, Wien ja Ålesund.

Jean-Luc Godardin elokuvien sarja nähdään Bio Rexissä Helsingissä 1.-3. huhtikuuta. Jean-Luc Godardin ura elokuvantekijänä on kestänyt yli 50 vuotta, siis lähes puolet koko elokuvan historiasta, johon hän on jättänyt lähtemättömät jäljet. Godard on aina kulkenut omaa tietään elokuvan valtavirran ulkopuolella, mutta siitä huolimatta tai kenties juuri siksi hän on vaikuttanut pysyvästi myös ns. valtavirtaelokuvaan. Vaikka ei vedettäisikään mitään jyrkkää rajaa "taiteen" ja "viihteen", "populaarielokuvan" ja "pienen yleisön elokuvan" väille, Godardin panos liittyy ennen muuta siihen, mitä on totuttu nimittämään "elokuvan taiteeksi".

Nostalgia 77: The Garden (Tru Thoughts). Nostalgia 77 aka Ben Lamdin first burst onto the scene with his heavy, new funk based sound in 2002. Unleashing a string of club friendly tracks on Tru Thoughts' hugely influential 7Sevens imprint, he then followed suit with his seminal debut LP entitled "Songs For My Funeral" in February 2004. The success of the album thus encouraged him to progress with this approach for his second album offering, "The Garden". A style which he describes as "a combination of soul and jazz composition with computer based production techniques". Ateneumin kevät- ja kesäkauden merkkitapahtuma on näyttely Greta Hällfors-Sipilän ja Sulho Sipilän taiteesta. Pariskunta opiskeli Ateneumissa 1915-1917 ja oli niiden nuorien taiteilijoiden joukossa, jotka innottuivat taiteen uusista tuulista. Ulkomaisen modernismin muodon vapaus, kirkkaat värit ja rytmi tarttuivat myös Sipilöiden taiteeseen. Etenkin kaupunkilaiset aiheet viehättivät heitä. Näyttely tarjoaa kokonaiskuvan kummankin taiteilijan tuotannosta, ja huomio kohdistuu etenkin Greta Hällfors-Sipilän raikkaaseen kuvakerrontaan, joka on jäänyt hänen miehensä taiteen varjoon.
